"We are happy for our School. St. Kizito Katwe Bweya. We thank Rotary for construction of the classroom blocks and also for giving our children scholastic materials". Head teacher Later Bweya.
The chairman LCI Ssalongo Mubiru Misaaki thanked Rotary for turning St. Kizito into a real school worth talking about. He also thanked the headteacher and staff for training the children. He appealed to parents to always take children to school. He also requested them to bring children with scholastic materials. He appealed to parents to instil discipline in their children.
The children of P3 recited a poem thanking Rotary for constructing a classroom block, a toilet and a library. They also thanked them for planting trees that will help them to have a better environment. To the parents they appealed to them to offer them scholastic materials and to pay school fees for them. they requested government to construct staff houses for the school.
Later on they played a play about a family where children were suffering under their step mother and father. One of the children a boy decides to run away from home to go and look for a job shuttering his dream of becoming a lawyer. The girl remains home hoping that her dream of becoming a doctor will become a reality.
Her dreams are cut short when someone comes demanding for his money from her father and the father decided to see her married off to a rich man after the rich man gives him 5m.
The wedding never took place as girl ran away on seeing the monster man. The rich man gives two conditions. One to refund the money or he takes the man's wife. He settles for the latter .
Ten years later, the girl completes her medical degree and the boy completes his law degree.
The girl gets a job in a government hospital and as fate would have it, the father who wanted her to get married came to the hospital when he was badly off. The daughter who was now a doctor first refused to treat him. Eventually she accepted and treated the father.
On his part, the President of Rotary Club of Kajjansi Ismael Mukasa thanked parents and teachers for the continued support to the school.
He thanked the Church for offering the land to the school. He appealed to the community to support developments at the school.
He informed parents that Wakiso District had promised to construct a classroom block and a teacher's house during this financial year. He pledged continued support to the school.
He also informed members that very soon the headmistress ' office will be tiled.
He thanked the chairman of LCI Ssalongo Mubiru Misaaki for twice saving the school water tank donated by Rotary.
The functions started with a mass led by Father Sseguya of Kabulamuliro Parish
