This afternoon I attended a wedding at Namirembe Cathedral. On my way back to office I decided to talk a walk to Mengo Hospital which is a stone throw away from the Cathedral.

The Rotary Blood Bank Project at Mengo Hospital |
On reaching the Hospital, I was impressed by the way the contractors are handling the Rotary Blood Bank project. The work is smoothly going on and people who have contributed their monies can be sure that every coin donated has been well spent.

The Western part of the building has reached the wall plate and soon it will be roofed. The rest of the main building will soon have a slab for the first floor.

I was taken around by one the young men doing the work and was very impressed from a lay man's point of view. Great thanks go to PDG Emmanuel Katongole and management team chaired by AG. Ruth Kavuma Nvumetta and AG Ronald Kawaddwa. Kudos to all members who spend sleepless nights to see that this project becomes a reality.
More thanks go to the Uganda Rotary Cancer Programme headed by PDG Stephen Mwanje who wholeheartedly gave the projects all proceeds from the 2015 cancer Run. More thanks go to Standard Chartered Bank team headed by their MD Herman Kasekende.

These guys have done a tremendous work of mobilising funds for the projects. Standard Chartered has so far managed to raise 98.28 million Shillings from the Breakfast meeting pledges. They also organised a Talent Show at Theatre Labonita and they raises up to 35 million. Thank you so much team Stan Chart Bank.
